In partnership with the Humans of St. Louis, CBN curated a series of personal stories about the impact community development activities has had throughout the St. Louis region. Building better neighborhoods doesn’t happen overnight and these stories showcase local champions who work tirelessly everyday to revitalize our communities.

The “St. Louis Community Development in Action” Photography Exhibit features all our 2023 Community Building Awardees and other powerful community development stories in this photoseries. We hosted the inaugural opening night during our 11th Annual Community Development Family Reunion event on Thursday, April 20th from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Intersect Arts Center in South St. Louis City.

The photography exhibit then traveled to the Lewis & Clark Branch - St. Louis County Library (9909 Lewis-Clark Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63136) and Ferguson Municipal Public Library (35 N. Florissant Road, Ferguson, MO 63135). The exhibit was available for viewing during library open hours from April to June 2023. CBN hosted a special panel discussion and networking with 2023 Community Building Awardees at the Lewis & Clark Branch Library on May 24th from 6-8pm.

To close out the traveling photography exhibit, CBN hosted a happy hour networking celebration on Thursday, August 17th from 4:30 to 6:30pm at the Brown School of Social Work on the beautiful campus of Washington University in St. Louis - Hillman Hall, on the ground/garden level. The photography exhibit is currently on display and open for public viewing during normal business hours.
