π₯³ Congratulations 2026 Awardees!
πΈ
On Thursday, April 23rd, we came together as a community for the 14th Annual Community Development Family Reunion at Third Degree Glass Factory to celebrate progress, exemplary leadership, and connection. This annual event serves as a reminder that small steps lead to big change, and that communities across St. Louis are doing the work every day to make a difference.
2026 Awardees from Left to Right: Pastor Andre Alexander (Growing in Equity & Anti-Racism), Dionne Peeples-Jones (Transparency & Trust), Barbara Potts (Excellence in the Public Sector), Mimi Taylor-Hendrix (Resident Leadership), Legacy Jackson (Rising Star in Community Building), and Gordon Carlson (Lifetime Dedication to Community Building)

Nearly 200 community leaders and partners gathered, including CBN board members, sponsors, and elected officials, to celebrate this yearβs awardees. Local residents and students also came together to congratulate our awardees and connect with other changemakers in St. Louis.
We encourage you all to also get involved, connect with us, and continue to build up the community!
To further support and strengthen this collective work, CBN has developed a Strategic Plan that outlines four key priorities: Advocacy, Capacity Building, Partnerships, and Storytelling. If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to read the full plan here.
We deeply appreciate all who support CBNβs mission. Please stay engaged and motivated, the work is underway, but it is far from finished!
Thank You To Our 2026 sponsors!

Each year, awardees are selected by a committee of peers and past awardees.
Past awards have recognized community building dedication and impact in the public and nonprofit sectors, banking, business, philanthropy, the faith-based community, and resident leadership. Click to take a look at the criteria for each award.
