Community Engagement Action group

The Community Engagement Action Group is a constructive support group of CBN members and partners who convene around community engagement issues and practice.

Members use knowledge gained as group members to inform and improve their work.

Mission

By convening a diverse collection of stakeholders working in the field of community development, the Community Engagement Action Group seeks to create a culture of community engagement throughout the St. Louis region. The group does this by pursuing projects that align with three goals:

  1. Education surrounding best practices and research in community engagement, including a quarterly research newsletter tailored for practitioners

  2. Cataloging local community engagement assets and initiatives to avoid duplication of effort

  3. Collaboration and advocacy to create a cross-sector community engagement baseline, encourage new growth, and enhance existing initiatives
