CDA Announces $300,000 in New Funding to Reduce and Prevent Vacancy in St. Louis

Vacant Building Initiative Fund NOFA utilizes new funding made possible following voter approval of Proposition V (Ordinance 71990).

The City of St. Louis Community Development Administration (CDA) is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations, neighborhood associations, and community development corporations (CDCs) for innovative programs and strategies to reduce and prevent vacant and blighted property across St. Louis.

Up to $300,000 is available through the competitive Vacant Building Initiative Fund NOFA. CDA anticipates making a small number of large awards that can be leveraged with additional public and private resources to create meaningful neighborhood impact.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, neighborhood associations, and community development corporations in the City of St. Louis. Organizations may also apply together as a team when they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the NOFA.

The NOFA was issued on October 2, 2026. Questions are due October 23, with answers posted October 30. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on November 20, 2026.
