You are invited to join St. Louis REALTORS® and UMSL CIAC for a conversation about an important but often overlooked part of our region’s housing challenge: how we repair and preserve the homes we already have.
The Hidden Housing Crisis: Home Repair in St. Louis County
Tuesday, September 29 | 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Donald Danforth Plant Science Center
975 N. Warson Road
Lunch included | Registration: $20
UMSL’s Todd Swanstrom will share new research examining the repair needs of single-family homes in St. Louis County. Karen Black, CEO of May 8 Consulting and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, will provide a national perspective on why home repair matters and what other communities are doing about it. We’ll then bring the conversation home with a panel discussing current home-repair efforts in the St. Louis region.
We’re intentionally bringing together people from housing and community development, local government, philanthropy, finance, construction, public health, and other sectors that have a role to play in addressing this issue. I hope you’ll be part of the conversation.

I’ve attached the event flyer with additional information. Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who you think would benefit from the conversation.
Hope to see you on September 29!
