The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC) is seeking one highly organized individual for a full-time temporary position from April 2016 through December 2016. This position coordinates all programs of the Gallery at RAC and will coordinate the planning and implementation of a national arts and community conference scheduled in November 2016. This Gallery/Conference Coordinator position will end December 23, 2016.

This position reports to the Director of Artist and Community Initiatives. Gallery Coordinator tasks include but are not limited to: organizing exhibitions, programs and openings; installing artwork; coordinating marketing materials; and maintaining electronic data base information. Conference Coordinator tasks include but are not limited to: assisting with communications with speakers, panelists, committees, and attendees; organizing marketing materials; handling registrations; maintaining conference schedules; coordinating hotel reservations and catering; managing volunteers; and setting- up conference rooms. Must have excellent organizational skills, be proficient with computer programs and Microsoft Office, be able to manage budgets, be flexible and multi-task effectively, and work within a very fast-paced environment. Photo-shop and web design skills a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license with transportation, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and be able to work some evenings and week-ends.
