Park Central DevelopmentThe Park Central Development Board of Directors is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director.

Park Central Development (PCD) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community development organization governed by a board of directors consisting of representatives of the communities it serves. PCD serves as a community development corporation for parts or all of the Central West End, Forest Park Southeast, Midtown, Botanical Heights, Cheltenham, and Tiffany neighborhoods in St. Louis. The executive director is responsible for executing the overall mission of the corporation, which includes:

  • Oversight and promotion of neighborhood planning and economic development activities
  • Expanding quality local governmental neighborhood services
  • Enhancing the overall neighborhood human services structure
  • Enhancing neighborhood security infrastructure
  • Enhancing neighborhood marketing efforts
  • Developing and implementing a fund development strategy
  • Ensuring the organization’s financial security and increasing funding streams

The ideal candidate will possess great community building skills, have a great understanding of management best practices, and be a self-starter and innovator. The minimum qualifications for employment include the following:

  • Master’s Degree in: Social Work, Urban Planning, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration or related field
  • 3 years’ experience in community development or non-profit management
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 3 years budget management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other related software
