On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, HUD Secretary Julian Castro announced that portions of the St. Louis region would be designated as a Promise Zone. St. Louis zone was one eight communities to receive this designation. This designation gives programs and projects falling within the zone priority when applying for federal funding.

The Community Builders Network is comprised of nearly 30 members who serve  neighborhoods or communities in the St. Louis region, many of whom work directly within the Promise Zone. This week, we are sharing a map showing our member footprints overlaid with the Promise Zone boundary. 18 CBN members work with communities that are in or partially in St. Louis’ Promise Zone boundary.
