The Kingsway East Conservation Association (KECA) was established in 2013 for the purpose of creating projects that develop positive perceptions about living in the Kingsway East neighborhood. KECA supports cooperative efforts to combat community deterioration and to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing; community facilities and other related facilities; and services conducive to the progress and general welfare of the neighborhood. KECA is located in an area of north St. Louis bounded by Natural Bridge Avenue to the north, Dr. Martin Luther King Drive to the south, Kingshighway Boulevard to the west, and Marcus Avenue to the east.

KECA’s purpose falls into the following categories:

  • Beautification projects.
  • Cultural appreciation projects that focus on the contributions of current and past residents of Kingsway East to American culture.
  • Advocating for quality housing development and housing code enforcement in the neighborhood.
