Dutchtown South Community Corporation is advancing neighborhood vitality through community empowerment, housing stabilization, and real estate devleopment. DSCC is funded in part by a Housing and Urban Development grant via the St. Louis City Community Development Administration.

Founded in 1973, the Dutchtown South Community Corporation (DSCC) promotes the businesses and neighborhoods of Greater Dutchtown area. DSCC works to ensure thriving residential and business communities in South St. Louis City by supporting four vibrant neighborhoods: Dutchtown, Gravois Park, Marine Villa, and Mt. Pleasant. The organization also:

  • Develops high-quality housing.
  • Supports private sector investment and housing development in the neighborhoods it serves.
  • Markets the Greater Dutchtown area generally and its four neighborhoods specifically to realtors and potential residents.
  • Provides leadership and education to assist residents and business in developing proactive and solution-focused actions in response to their concerns.

DSCC is an integral part of the Greater Dutchtown area. The organization provides marketing, resident education, business connections, and other services to constituents both inside and outside of its service area. DSCC’s goal is to find ways of strengthening and improving Dutchtown South by ensuring a mix of residential and businesses services to appeal to a broad range of consumers.

DSCC organizes a variety of community building programs, including a neighborhood watch, youth council, and the distribution of compact fluorescent light bulbs. The organization also distributes a newsletter that includes information about resources available in the community, including restaurants, non‐profits, and other services.
