Community Engagement Action Group

03.14.17 Community Engagement Action Group 11The Community Engagement Action Group is a constructive support group of Community Builders Network (CBN) members and partners who address issues relating to community engagement. Group members and CBN both play an active role in this group by reflecting on their individual initiatives and supporting broader community engagement efforts.

Mission: By convening a diverse collection of stakeholders working in the field of community development, the Community Engagement Action Group seeks to create a culture of community engagement throughout the St. Louis region. The group does this by pursuing projects that align with three goals:

  1. Education surrounding best practices and research in community engagement, including a quarterly research newsletter tailored for practitioners
  2. Cataloging local community engagement assets and initiatives to avoid duplication of effort
  3. Collaboration and advocacy to create a cross-sector community engagement baseline, encourage new growth, and enhance existing initiatives
