To help nonprofit organizations prepare for the 2018 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding cycle, the City of St. Louis Community Development Administration (CDA) will host a series of Non-Profit Capacity-Building Workshops in June. All will be held at 1520 Market Street, Suite 2000.

06.05.17 CDBG Workshop1.  CDBG Organizational Requirements
Please join CDA on Monday, June 5 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm for an important workshop designed for organizations planning to apply for CDBG funds for the first time. CDA staff will present on organizational requirements, such as non-profit status, insurance, licenses, conflict of interest provisions, and required grievance policy.

06.12.17 CDBG Workshop2.  Designing CDBG-Eligible Programs
Please join CDA on Monday, June 12 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm for a scenario-based learning experience designed to assist non-profit organizations with identifying projects and activities eligible for CDBG funding through the City of St. Louis. CDA staff will present on the basic requirements of the CDBG program, including descriptions of national objectives and eligible activities. Workshop participants will then be given an opportunity to design a sample program and receive feedback from CDA staff.

Please join CDA on Wednesday, June 28 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for an important workshop designed to assist non-profit organizations as they prepare to apply for 2018 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through the City of St. Louis. Please join CDA on Thursday, June 29 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm for its CDBG Financial Management Workshop.  CDA staff will discuss accounting related requirements for CDBG-funded organizations including internal control procedures, chart of accounts and cost allocability/allowability.
