On Friday, September 18, the City of St. Louis Community Development Administration (CDA) announced their recommendations for the 2016 round of CDBG and HOME funding. In the announcement, ten Community Builders Network (CBN) members were recommended for a total of $2.279 million in funding. Of the ten, nine were CBN nonprofit members who were recommended for a total of $406,000 in CDBG funding. One CBN associate member was recommended $1.873 million in CDBG funding. Below is a list of the CBN members who were recommended for the 2016 round of funding. Every member who took part in CBN’s peer review service received recommendation for funding.

  • Beyond Housing – $50,000 CDBG
  • Carondelet Community Betterment Foundation – $65,000 CDBG
  • Grace Hill Settlement House – $50,000 CDBG
  • Hamilton Heights Neighborhood Organization, Inc. – $25,000 CDBG
  • North Newstead Association – $50,000 CDBG
  • Old North St. Louis Restoration Group – $10,000 CDBG
  • Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council – $20,000 CDBG
  • St. Louis Association of Community Organizations (SLACO) – $25,000 CDBG
  • St. Louis Development Corporation – $1,873,000 CDBG
  • Tower Grover Neighborhoods CDC – $111,000 CDBG
